Sometimes I crave carbs as the weather gets a bit colder, moving from summer to fall. Today, I felt this way at breakfast time and wondered, is craving carbs in winter normal? So, I searched it up as I usually do, and found it to be slightly true, but cautiously associated with either extreme dieting, or seasonal depression. Here’s the link to a great article: https://www.webmd.com/depression/features/carbohydrate-craving
My conclusion is to agree with the author’s suggestion to eat protein based meals throughout the day, and a carb meal for dinner. I would also suggest an awareness of exercise benefits but also the benefits of a balanced routine of rest and recovery. Pushing harder in summer is easier than winter. Good luck to us all!
